Catella APAM (“APAM”), the specialist UK real estate asset manager, has been appointed by the Catella European Student Housing Fund 1 (“CESHF1”) to take over the investment management responsibilities for their existing UK student portfolio.
The portfolio comprises four sites including Gateway Apartments and McDonald Road in Edinburgh, Claremont House in Glasgow and Charles Morton Court in London. The properties are managed by one of the UK’s leading student accommodation providers, Homes for Students, under their premium brand Prestige Student Living offering luxury living in each of the properties.
Barry Hill, Senior Asset Manager at APAM, comments: “We are delighted to have taken over the asset management responsibilities for the UK assets in the CESHF1 to add to our growing residential portfolio. The quality of the assets is underpinned by their location in cities which are home to some of the strongest universities in the UK. The resilience of the assets has been demonstrated through strong contracted occupancy figures for the current academic year following the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.”
The fund has ambitious growth plans to add to its existing portfolio targeting strong university cities with supporting demographic and supply dynamics.
