Next up in our ‘meet the team’ series is Nathan Reidy! Nathan joined the Asset Management team in 2022 as a Senior Asset Manager and was promoted to Associate Director in 2023.

We asked Nathan to tell us about his journey at Catella APAM and here is what he had to say:
What is your role and responsibilities at Catella APAM?
One of the initial attractions to Catella APAM was the fast-moving, ever-changing environment and both my role and responsibilities have mirrored this, pretty much since the day I started. I initially began as a Senior Asset Manager with responsibility for the management of Chantry Place Shopping Centre in Norwich but I quickly got the opportunity to be involved in more mandates across the business. My role grew to include involvement in, and then oversight of other assets and I’ve also been part of the team providing an asset management advisory role with Places for London (the property company of TfL), dealing principally with Victoria.
Since being promoted to Associate Director I’ve been involved more heavily with delivering the strategic opportunities on mandates, as well as providing a broader coaching role for other members of the team and taking on greater responsibility for the effective management and operation of our mandates.
What excites you most about working at Catella APAM?
I’ve said before that it’s not just the breadth of sectors and assets Catella APAM is involved with, or the great and talented team it has established, but also its approach. The ability to work in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment where we react nimbly to opportunities as they arise definitely excites me and keeps things interesting but equally as important is the way the company wants to act and be seen within the commercial property market. It’s a focus centred on not just being good at what you do but in doing good at the same time. It’s a philosophy reflected in all of our activities, guiding us to make the best decisions both commercially and for the wider communities we operate in.
What makes Catella APAM a positive workplace for you?
Catella APAM has been a great place for me to come and grow my career. If you have an interest in developing certain skills or getting experience of different asset classes, or areas of the business, they will look to find (or sometimes even create) the opportunities for you to get involved and grow in those areas. I’ve been able to get involved with a huge number of diverse opportunities in the relatively short time I’ve been here and have also helped to create some of these opportunities for others as well and that shows no sign of slowing down!
