The UK narrative has been somewhat revised. The ONS finding 1.8% GDP growth down the back of the sofa has jettisoned the UK out of the relegation zone and firmly into the middle of the G7 pack. While this answers questions, or nullifies them, as to why the UK was so far behind its international peers, it does not mean it is out of the woods.
