APAM has let additional space to international student-focused INTO Manchester at the Grade II-listed Bridgewater House on behalf of landlord Britannia Invest.
INTO Manchester, which partners with universities to help international students access specialist degrees and pathway courses, will expand into a 2,680 sq ft upper ground floor space on an extended lease to 2023.
The deal follows 6,920 sq ft let to DFH Financial Solutions and 5,300 sq ft let to Beech Construction within the 200,000 sq ft office accommodation. The building has been refurbished into 10-storeys of offices containing many original characteristics, including cast iron columns, exposed brickwork and historic lift shafts.
Pete Owen, senior asset manager at APAM, said: “Seeing existing tenants take additional space is a huge vote of confidence in the improvement works we initiated at Bridgewater House. This is a unique heritage building in a great central location, which we have transformed through a high-quality refurbishment and the addition of business and lifestyle amenities that appeal to modern occupiers. With more than 38,000 sq ft now let since we announced our refurbishment plans, Bridgewater House has become a highly appealing option for the growing number of businesses wanting impressive space in Manchester’s vibrant city centre.”
INTO Manchester was represented by Knight Frank. Savills is joint letting agent at the property with OBI.
