This week is #worldwaterweek2022 and at Catella APAM we strive to preserve water where we can in all of our buildings. A few examples below of how we are making an impact.
We have removed the need for tank supplied water at Acero, Sheffield and 60 Spring Gardens, Manchester. The water is now supplied direct from the mains in an effort to preserve water and match the occupancy levels of the properties. The remaining tanks have been drained, cleaned and isolated to reduce the risk of legionella.
Wherever possible we complete maintenance and reactive drainage tasks by ‘rodding’ opposed to ‘jetting’, which saves water consumption.
Energy saving flushes installed at Whitehall 2, Leeds in the latest common area refurbishment. We plan to do the same on all future common area toilet refurbishments.
